The Fortifications Agency has the government's mandate to ensure that the defense has well-functioning facilities, land, and premises for its operations, and we are an important part of the country's crisis preparedness. In just a few years, the security and defense policy conditions have significantly changed the national defense policy. This means that the Fortifications Agency is growing, and we will have an increased number of recruitments for a long time to come. We are now looking for a Security Officer for the regional office in Boden who wants to work at one of Sweden's most exciting workplaces while contributing to a robust society and a safer world.

In the role of Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing operational support and controlling security protection within the entire agency, focusing on Region North. The operational support includes, for example, support in security protection planning, information security analyses, managing security protection agreements, support in regional security-enhancing measures, security discussions, training, and efforts to counteract and manage incidents as well as conducting training in security protection. Furthermore, the role involves fulfilling the tasks assigned to the agency according to the Security Protection Act, the Security Protection Ordinance, and the regulations of the Armed Forces and the Security Police regarding security protection.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in the security field or other relevant education for the position, or equivalent documented work experience that the agency deems comparable. You have experience working with security protection issues, including security protection planning, as well as knowledge of security protection legislation and its regulations. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of Swedish. A valid driver's license (class B) is a requirement.

It is advantageous if you have experience working with physical security, information security, security protection analysis, and advising on security issues. Experience in giving presentations and conducting training is also beneficial. If you have knowledge of the Armed Forces' regulations regarding security protection services, that is also an advantage. Signals protection training is also meritorious.

Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as positions at the Fortifications Agency are security classified.
